So I saw a brand spanking new Monopoly board - Monopoly City Streets - with all the buildings and stuff. Sucks that it costs RM164. It looks so pretty. Maybe we should all invest in this and buy a board for Christmas for ourselves for sleepovers, or something. I'm a Monopoly junkie and I have 2 Monopoly boards - the more recent white box one, and me and my sister's first set was a red board. Will show it to you next sleepover, if anyone's interested. :D

I don't know when all of you are free, though. My next breaks are... August (Can't, Trials in September), September (After trials, but I think I'm taking IELTS that weekend or something), October (During the Hari Raya Hols, though you may be treated to an awesome show of me panicking over uni applications and Finals) and after my Finals, which is in November.

The question is, though, when are YOU free? I don't know if WA hols are any different from SA, not that we really are following SA hols anyway. Art degree person? Mass Comm person? When will you people be free? T_T

Just to keep our blog a little more alive, I shall post about how we came up with the name 'Melonades'!

This is mainly because I felt offended by the person 'hot freak', who called us a bunch of spelling-blur babies. (I know it was from a month ago, but hey, you don't call a frequent spell-checker a spelling-blur baby)

Yes, even I initially thought it was supposed to be 'Lemonades', but Sue Mae decided that we should be DIFFERENT and call ourselves 'Melonades' instead. WHICH, incidentally, is a TYPE OF ALCOHOLIC DRINK. No, we didn't know that until several months of using the name. Go read many posts back when Pei Lyn even included a PICTURE of a BOTTLE of MELONADE.

Hah. That was fun. Makes scintillating conversation.

i love melonades! and hopefully one day ill get to try the alcoholic version. chun. its wierd that i'm not hooked to alcohol as much as i want to.

in fact. i hate it. i hate the taste of bitterness. i prefer coke anyday. but! all that will change, wont it? People change. Sadly not all changes are good, no? And thats when we realise/realize that we will never be able to satisfy/impress everyone. So why bother. If being who i am is a crime,wouldnt acting to be someone im not be a bigger crime? Eventhough i can be real erm.. mean? sometimes wouldnt u rather see that than to see me acting sickly sweet. really now. i'd rather be who i am. if im a total bitch thats how i will be. if i am pretty innocent then i would be like that. if i am perky(hee) thats how i will be. ah u get the idea. its like why would u want to act cool when u noe that being yourself is awesome enuff. or why drink beer cuz some people think its cool and u wanna be cool too so u have to drink as well(and also get addicted to it). Honestly i've been through lots. From being called all sorts of things to being well talked about. But thing is... Going through all that really made me a better person. Being able to learn from mistakes. Knowing i have my friends who trust me, it really makes me happy to noe that i have their support. On the other hand there will always be some people hating me for certain reasons.but we will never be able to satisfy everyone. so why bother trying to?

I looked beside me to see Jen already awake on the rocking chair looking at us sleeping. Scary lah. I never wanna watch any thrillers or scary movies ever again. Hmmmm....

Main character: Jen.

Jen, 15 year old girl who has loads of problems (gasp), parents who don't understand her (oh no.). One day, she meets this guy. They fall in love yada yada yada. Then this other guy comes in. Oh no. Jen likes him too. The two guys fight over Jen. One guy wins. etc etc etc. But then, right, this girl comes to her and says, "I'm in love with your boyfriend" (sounds familiar?). The other guy also don't like her anymore lor. Catfight catfight.

Seriously. I watched 10 minutes of 'the bold and beautiful' before. It's really boring, and the plot is really ... well, it all revolves around their love lives, and how they all sleep with people they shouldn't have slept with, etc etc.

Melonades(c) 'bulletin'

I've decided to write a Melonades(c) 'bulletin'.

Ehem. As some of you fellow Melonades(c) know, I will be *attempting* to draw a nice chibi-header for us, so I would like to confirm several things.

1) It will be 'in progress' for a long time. As long as I will procrastinate, uploading the header would (probably) take almost as long.
2) It'll take a while also because of the fact that I need to colour the header just right to match our layout.
3) It will also depend on my overall 'muse' when drawing. I may be stuck halfway for inspiration for 'poses'
4) It will also depend on my day's artistic ability. My skills, somehow, are an on-off thing.

So please be patient. XD

Another thing is that someone has been using our 'copyrighted' Melonades(c) tag on other people's blogs. I would like to suggest that Jen, our tech genius, go search the IP address. I have barely any idea how to.

If you can, please post in a new... uh... post on this blog when you have used 'melonades' as your tag name when visiting other blogs. This *might* make life easier. Edit that post to add on the other blogs you have written in their tagboards with the tag name 'melonades'.

On a brighter note, we're going to Jen's house today. I have no idea who else is going apart from Li Za, Yih Shan and I...

Am i the only blogger in this blog who hasnt written an entry yet?
If it is then sorry and TRY to enjoy my style of blogging k.
Even if u dont like it could at least pretend to!

Woot! Finally now that PMR is over i can enjoy doing things that i couldnt do before PMR.
Example:
1. play games without worrying bout PMR
2. sleep without any worries about PMR
3. LIVE without even thinking about PMR.

Tsk tsk. I must say it was rather rushy of me to go out on the day PMR ended.
Couldnt help it lah. I just wanted to watch Devil Wears Prada so much. And Alex and Kar Mun were like dragging me to Poh Kong to pierce my ear. My poor ears. =(

Haha. My mum dropped us(lex and I) off at Pyramid. Had no time to even browse the shops. Went straight away to the cinema. Queued up. While Lex and I were queueing up we saw this girl who was wearing the most adorable tee ever! It said 'Voted Best Kisser'. It was just soooo adorable. Had an urge to go up and ask her where she got it. But... Malu la. Haha. No worries. I'll find u in a shop someday, tee. At the 50 % discount rack! Muahahahaha.

We got the tickets for Devil Wears Prada but.... THE SEATS ARE ALMOST RIGHT IN FRONT!
Pfft! Such lousy seats. Only started at 1.55 lah. Had about an hour to go into the shops. Went to Surf Dive & Swim first. Loved a few things i saw at Roxy. That heart shaped purse, the purple and silver purse. Wanted to get them but Alex was there. She would prolly nag at me for buyin what she calls unnecessary stuffs. Its not unnecessary k. I lost my purse. I need a new 1.

Kar Mun arrived at say... 1? haha. She wore mini skirt! First time i see her wear skirt. Then we browsed thru a few stalls. While looking at a stall that sold acessories, alex JUST HAD to remember that i was supposed to pierce my ears. Dang.

Went to Poh Kong. In the shop, i kept askin them 'should i?' and they were like 'up to u'. Wahliau. Drag me all the way there d can say 'up to u' summore. Decided to pierce anyway. Didnt wanna wimp out. Lol!Pity we didnt bring camera along. Dang. And camera phones are useless. Anyway the lady who was gonna pierce my ear. I shall name her...... Lady. So i wouldnt hafta say 'the lady who was gonna pierce my ear' so much. Ok. Lady asked me to sit down. I sat. Then thank goodness Lex was smart enough to ask her to do 2 holes at a time. So i wouldnt feel so much pain. While Lady was getting ready THE GUN, i asked her
Me : Is this gonna hurt?
Lady : Urm...... A bit la
Me : *worried look*
Haha. Anyway she put some liquid to make my ears feel cold.
Then...

Bang! OMG. WHAT 'A BIT' PAIN. SIAO. SO DAMN PAIN LA K.
It felt super painful for the next few secs. Then after that wasnt so painful. Phew.

By the time i finished piercing it was almost time for the movie. Smsed Jun and D on the way. To tell them how painful it felt. LOL! They didnt seem to feel my pain really.

DEVIL WEARS PRADA ROXXX! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
To be honest i saw more chanel than prada. lol. it was nice anyways.

what was I going to say? crap I forgot. um, oh yeah. playing Burnout is a good way to de-stress. learnt that today with sm. except that we don't have any stress on us at the moment.

after 3 hours of attempting, i managed to put on my contact lenses!!! The moment i put on the one on the right eye, i was being all perky and stuff. and it took me another half an hour to put on the left one. sheesh. now everyone say "yes ah?". lol.

I think I've been listening to The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby song a little too many times (Hey- it IS a nice song. Back to the old days when LYRICS were meaningful, unlike now, with all the profanity)

There's one part that made me think,
All the lonely people,
Where do they all belong.
All the lonely peole,
Where DO they all come from?

There will never be a lonely person unless you... sort of... abandon them. It's not their fault they're lonely, it's just that someone else ditched 'em. Even if you're grouchy and say 'Leave me alone' and crap like that, you won't be truly alone.

But then again, in a religious point of view, being a lonely person isn't too good, either. It means that you don't have God in your life. There's always a point to remember- God will never, NEVER abandon you, unlike petty human nature.

The point is, I'm glad I have you people as my friends, so apart from God, I have other people to keep me company, and that I can keep you company, too.

So, yeah. When I looked in the mirror this morning, after waking up, looking into the eyes of the freshly-awaken Shu Lyn, I am glad that I'm not alone in this world, and that God has given me more than I deserve (Seriously).

So, are YOU thankful that we have each other?
